Readers of the site already know that in 2016 another mobile operator will appear on the peninsula - Volna Mobile. Well, what operators are already working, read this review. Mobile operators in Crimea 2016

Win Mobile Is the first Russian operator to provide residents and guests of the peninsula with GSM communications. It was he who became the successor to the MTS-Ukraine network. As for the coverage, a 2G network is available throughout the peninsula, 3G is available only in the Simferopol region, along the cities and towns of the coast, as well as in some settlements in the eastern part of Crimea. 4G - only in Simferopol, Sevastopol and Yalta. It is clear that, in fact, the Internet does not work everywhere.

There are three tariffs as of May 2016. The most beneficial for guests from Russia and tourists in general is "On the Sea".

Crimeatelecom- the company became the second in Crimea. In order to create competition, the company had to work hard. "Heritage" - the stations of the Ukrainian "Kyivstar" and "Trimob" turned out to be inoperative due to a virus launched by Ukrainian companies. In addition, the stations were simply looted during their downtime. So, Krymtelecom completely restored and expanded the network.

There are several tariffs. There is a separate line of Internet tariffs. At prices, all are approximately the same. You can save money by connecting additional services.

SevMobile- the company became the third in Crimea, it is a Sevastopol mobile operator. Accordingly, the 3G coverage area is limited to the area around Sevastopol.

If you go to Crimea with your SIM card

MTS, Megafon, Beeline and Tele2 operate in Crimea. All three operators offer special tariff lines for guests of Crimea. Megaphone has this

do not work quite the same as in other regions of Russia, due to fear of sanctions (or maybe for other reasons) Megafon, Beeline and TELE-2 do not work on the peninsula, i.e. you cannot buy their SIM cards and their promotions and tariffs intended for communication within the borders of the Russian Federation are not valid; subscribers of these operators find themselves in intranet roaming, which leads to an increase in the cost of their services.

At the end of December, the State Duma adopted a bill to abolish national roaming, including in Crimea. And incoming calls from June 1, 19 should become free.

MTS in Crimea

From all-Russian telecom operators in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol only MTS works, moreover, you can not only buy a SIM card on the spot upon arrival, but also issue the appropriate Additional services for moving around Russia in the home region.

Crimean mobile operators

In addition to MTS, Crimea has its own operators: Win mobile (K-telecom), Volna, Krymtelecom and Sevmobile(the latter, apparently, does not catch well outside of Sevastopol and the surrounding area).

Mobile Internet in Crimea

As for the mobile Internet, 3G and 4G services are provided by WIN mobile (almost all all-Russian operators are connected to it within the framework of roaming) and Volna mobile. 3G in Sevastopol is also promised by Sevmobile, and across the entire peninsula - by Krymtelecom. In fact, at the beginning of 2019, 3G operates almost everywhere, 4G only in large cities

Megafon offers its subscribers the option "Internet in Crimea":

and costs 60 MB - 99 rubles, without options 2.2 rubles for 1 MB

Also, as part of the tariff plans, an option is offered unlimited entering the Crimea for 33 rubles per day. Without options, incoming - 2 rubles per minute, outgoing 3 rubles per minute, SMS 2 rubles

For comparison, I leave the information as it was in the last 18th year -

If you do not connect the option, then incoming and outgoing will cost 9.99 rubles, SMS -4.90; 1MB - 9.90 rubles

Beeline canceled international Roaming in Crimea from June 20, 2016. Beeline does not have any special options for Crimea, the prices for calls, SMS and Internet depend on the tariff plan selected in the home region.
For example, with a SIM card issued in Moscow, a minute incoming call- 2.03 rubles, outgoing - 2.03 rubles per minute; SMS - 2.03 rubles; Internet 2.03 rubles per 1 MB. (In 2018, everything was 2 rubles, obviously the rise in price by 3 kopecks is due to VAT)

TELE-2 in Crimea 2018-2019

Tele2 set the following prices for Crimea and Sevastopol in 2019.

Incoming calls - 1 ruble per minute,

outgoing 3 rubles per minute, SMS - 3 rubles,

You can also subscribe to the service "Like at home in Crimea": cost of connection - 30 rubles; subscription fee - 6 rubles per day. This service resets the cost of incoming calls, all other prices remain at the level of the base tariff.

In 2018, it was 5 rubles per minute for both outgoing and incoming calls; 5 rubles for 1MB and 3.50 for SMS.

MTS in Crimea 2018-2019

Since MTS operates in Crimea, you have two options: buy a local SIM card upon arrival or use a SIM card purchased in your home region.

MTS in Crimea belongs to the region "Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea" and offers several Smart tariffs, all of them include Internet packages, unlimited calls to MTS numbers in the region, minute packages for calls and SMS packages.

If you buy a SIM card in Crimea, then

for 300 rubles (Smart tariff) per month you can get 3 GB of Internet; 200 minutes for calls to all operators within the region and 200 SMS in the region. Calls to phones of other operators outside the region will cost 5 rubles per minute outside the region (within the limits - free of charge), and SMS to phones outside the region - 2 rubles. All incoming calls and SMS are free.

But it is profitable to do this if you need to make a lot of calls to the region's phones in Crimea, but if you plan to call home, and the house is outside the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea, then it is better to buy a SIM card and connect in your region before leaving. It is best to take Smart and Tarifische tariffs. Get tons of internet and hundreds of included minutes to your home region numbers.

When you arrive in Crimea, the connection network will not be MTS, but K-telecom or Winmobile

YOTA in Crimea 2018-2019

You can also take a tariff "Freedom of Communication" with the "Big Country" option, at a rate of up to 60 minutes within the network per day - free, incoming - free; the option costs 0 rubles for connection + 3 rubles per day, while all outgoing calls to Russia cost 2.95 rubles per minute. If you only need the Internet, then the Fast and Furious tariff provides 15 GB of Internet for 400 rubles a month.

Cellular operator Volna

Wave is not the most profitable operator for vacationers in Crimea. For 150 rubles a month at the "Sea" tariff you get all the same 3 rubles per minute outgoing within Russia, 300 free minutes for calls in the Crimea and Krasnodar Territory, and 3 GB of Internet. The "Wind" tariff provides 10GB of Internet for 300 rubles per month.

It is better to connect an additional option to the Internet - 10GB for 300 rubles per month.

It is worth noting that it is not easy to buy a SIM card in Crimea, for example, there are almost no official MTS offices in the region, and cards are sold by hand, and Win Mobile has official offices only in large cities. MTS salons can be found in Sevastopol and Simferopol.

Hello everyone, my dears! I do not like to write about the negative, but it is better to be prepared for the bad than to face it unexpectedly. Today I will tell you what it is cellular in Crimea, why everything is bad with her, and what a tourist needs to do.

I'll make a reservation right away that our trip took place in May 2015, but at the time of this writing, the information remains relevant. So...

In this article:

What is the main problem of communication in Crimea

When we went to Crimea, we did not suspect that with the purchase of the card everything would be SO bad. Yes, and this is the main problem we faced: to buy a SIM card you need to try very hard.

We disembarked on the peninsula from the ferry at night. At the same moment, our beeline stopped working. All communication shops in Kerch, of course, are closed. We decided that we would buy a SIM card in Sevastopol, but when we arrived at it, we had to look for SIM cards for about 2 hours!

How it was.

We stopped in a fairly busy place: a small shopping center, many shops, a vegetable market. By a certain logic, we decided that somewhere here, in all this diversity, SIM cards should be sold. Well, simply because in such places we have a small cell phone salon, a counter or something like that.

I'm not even talking about the fact that in such busy places of different salons there can be several pieces in a row at once.

But this was not the case here. We went into shops, salons with telephones, pavilions at bus stops. NOTHING. We asked sellers where you can buy a SIM card. They just thought and could not say anything, but at the same time, everyone had a smartphone in their hand. The question "where did you personally buy your SIM card?" also remained unanswered.

But we couldn't give up, we had to contact the owner of the guest house, in which we then lived.

I remember that we went to the TechnoPoint store, where we were sent to a shopping center, which was located on the first floor of a neighboring building. Here we found a point that, in addition to the main product (electronics and other things), was engaged in the sale of SIM cards. True, we had to wait for the seller to return from lunch, but that didn't scare us.

As a result, in half an hour the card was in our hands, more precisely, in our phone.

Then, when we got to know the city better, we noticed that there are cell phone shops, but there are really few of them. After this I want to bow down to the owners of the Svyaznoy network, Euroset, MTS and others, because they are 5 minutes from my house and any stop. Here is a direct human thanks to you.

But let's go back to the moment where we were near the pavilion and purchased a SIM card. We were offered a choice of 2 operators: MTS and WIN. Let me briefly describe each one.

Which operators are working now in Crimea

1. MTS

I must say right away that I have not met MTS salons in Crimea, but instead of them you can meet people on the streets who sell SIM cards right from the table. During the season they can be found on Nakhimov Avenue and Lenin Street.

Now about the prices. MTS seemed to us more profitable at that time for calls within Russia than its competitor. The tariff was called "Super-MTS" Krasnodar Territory:

  • a SIM card costs 50 rubles and they immediately appear on the account
  • calls within Crimea and Krasnodar are free for 20 minutes a day, then 0.5 rubles per minute
  • calls to Russia cost 10 rubles per minute, but you can activate the "Favorite Country" service for 50 rubles per month, and calls will cost 3.5 rubles per minute
  • As for the Internet, here you also need to connect the package, otherwise it is expensive.

I do not know if it is possible to buy MTS in advance in Russia, go to the MTS communication salon and find out there. I, frankly, tried to find out this issue through the support service, but:

  • MTS does not disseminate information on tariffs in Crimea on its website.
  • To get through to them, I had to hang on the wire for 1.5 hours, after which the call was interrupted, this is a real tin.

2. WIN

The salons of this operator can be found on the streets of Sevastopol. Not very often, but still. You can see the tariffs on its official website.

And below I will briefly list the cost of calls to Russia at the Freedom of Communication tariff:

  • a SIM card costs 50 rubles and this amount appears on the account
  • calls to Russia cost 9.5 rubles per minute, but you can activate the My Russia service, which costs 15 rubles one-time + 2 rubles of monthly subscription fee per day, but calls will cost 2 rubles per minute.
  • calls to Krasnodar Territory and Crimea cost 1 ruble per minute
  • Internet 10 rubles per 1 Mb, but you can connect packages with a monthly fee of 3 rubles per day.

In general, if I chose this operator then only because of the internet. He has an interesting tariff called "Fast and the Furious", which we did not pay attention to then. Pay 400 rubles per month and you have 5 GB of daytime and 5 GB of nighttime internet, that is, 10 GB of internet! You can just call us on Skype, Viber and use social networks... But calls in this case will be expensive.

3. Beeline

Beeline for Crimea offers to connect the service "My country". Naturally, you need to connect it in advance, before entering the peninsula. So, how much does roaming cost:

  • service activation costs 25 rubles
  • incoming calls for 1 minute cost 3 rubles, for subsequent calls - free
  • outgoing within Russia - 3 rubles per minute
  • SMS within Russia - 3 rubles per minute

In addition, you must have a certain amount of money in your account for roaming. If my memory serves me - 500 rubles. But in my opinion, for calls, this is one of the best and simplest options. As for the Internet, everything is not so rosy here - 10 rubles for 1 MB.

Let me summarize a little. If it is important for you to be in touch immediately after crossing the bay, you need to worry about the SIM card in advance: either it will be MTS, or Beeline with roaming. If this is not important for you, you can buy a SIM card on the spot, in the salon. I would prefer on this moment internet tariff from WIN.

Here's a review, my dears. I really hope this article was helpful to you. I am waiting for your comments and questions, ask, we will sort it out together. In addition, I suggest you read the article on how

Although Crimea is now part of Russia, mobile connection it works differently there than in other parts of our country. In Crimea, there are no Beeline, Megafon, MTS, Tele2, Yota networks, but there are Win Mobile, Krymtelecom, Volna Mobile networks, so all SIM cards of Russian operators work in Crimea in roaming mode.

All Russian operators, except for MTS, roaming in Crimea is quite expensive - calls, SMS and megabytes of traffic cost 5-10 rubles. MTS package tariffs, working throughout Russia, work in Crimea through Win mobile roaming. There is no additional charge, but there is one unpleasant feature - MTS free roaming works only in 2G mode. Internet speed is 0.1 Mbps on average.

Win Mobile has 3G and 4G networks, but for some reason MTS is only allowed in 2G. Apparently, they agreed so.

I asked several Crimean residents and even SIM card sellers about mobile networks in Crimea, but to my surprise, they did not know anything, speaking only about MTS. I had to figure it out myself.

In Yalta, the networks of three operators are caught.

Until recently, only one operator worked in the republic - K-Telecom (brand - Win-mobile), to which the network of the Crimean representative office of MTS-Ukraine was transferred. Now he has a competitor in the person of Krymtelecom.

The lack of competition in the field of mobile communications prompted us to start building our own network, - said Vladimir Drozdenko, director of the Krymtelecom State Unitary Enterprise. - Now 128 base stations 15 cities are covered by 3G standard, which is about two-thirds of the population of Crimea. In the near future, we will commission another 300 base stations. As a result, we want to get a carpet of the peninsula, which will be provided by at least 600 base stations.

For the network to work, the operator had to work hard. The nationalized base stations of the Ukrainian companies Kyivstar and Trimob (Ukrtelecom) transferred to him were inoperative. Leaving, Ukrainian companies launched into the network system virus blocking the operation of the equipment. And during the downtime, the stations were also plundered. Chinese manufacturers helped to bring the network back to working order.

Thanks to the Chinese manufacturers and our agreements, we managed to supply compatible equipment from Huawei and restore the network, - said Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dmitry Polonsky.

According to the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Aksenov, the launch of a new mobile operator Krymtelecom is a significant step forward in the development of the mobile communications market, which will improve its quality and capabilities.

It is no secret that now in Crimea many people complain about the quality of communication: interruption of conversations when the interlocutor is not heard, numerous attempts to get through, interference. I am sure that Krymtelecom will solve these problems and will be able to provide services at the highest level, - he stressed.

Despite the fact that Krymtelecom is a state-owned company, it is not promised any special concessions. And they will not be needed, because as a multifunctional operator that provides not only mobile and fixed communication services, as well as Internet access, it has the opportunity to attract subscribers with favorable tariffs.

We have developed an interesting tariff line, - said Vladimir Drozdenko. - Everything tariff plans It is united by the fact that outgoing and incoming calls within the Krymtelecom network will be free of charge. Calls to fixed line numbers will also be free, as well as from fixed number to mobile.

The next event in the telecom market of the KFO will be the introduction into commercial operation of the network of the new Sevastopol mobile operator Sevmobile, which is still undergoing testing.

We have built an almost new network using 3G technology, which can easily be rebuilt to 4G technology, ”said Rostislav Gromov, director of the state-owned enterprise Sevtelecom. - The equipment was supplied by Chinese companies ZTI and Huawei - leaders in their segment of activity.

The base stations' capacities allow serving 500 thousand subscribers. If the needs are higher, they will be technically re-equipped.

In accordance with the investment agreement, we must deposit 200 million rubles within four months. The lion's share of this amount will go to pay for new equipment. And by the end of the year we will have to contribute another 120 million rubles to the development of the project, - said Nikolay Konkin, General Director of Sevtelecomsvyaz. - Part of the funds will go to cover operating costs in the first months of the project. And we expect to receive profit from the project in the third year of operation of the Sevmobile mobile operator.

Sevmobile, like Krymtelecom, expects to become attractive to subscribers due to the cost of its services and special offers.

The monthly subscription fee will include an unlimited number of minutes to other numbers of our operator and to the fixed-line numbers of Sevtelecom, Konkin said. - In addition, with landline telephones the call to the mobile will be free. Another innovation is that you can call a Sevastopol city number without dialing a city code, with six digits.
