How to use UV SoundRecorder
Device selection
To start recording audio, you must select at least one device. There are two audio recording devices in the list (see picture above):
- Microphone - Logitech Mic (Ultra Vision)
- Speakers - Realtek High Definition Audio
The first device, in this case, is a microphone in a webcam connected via USB.
Opposite each device is the current sound level. This, in particular, helps to determine which microphone is working (connected).
Each device can have several lines (microphone, line input, etc.). In some sound cards you can select only one line for recording, in others - several.
Recording level
The recording level (horizontal slider) determines the recording sensitivity (level). If the level is too low, the sound will be quiet. If it is too high, the sound will be too loud and with interference and noise. To determine required level recording audio, it is recommended to experiment with the recording level.
If you record sound from speakers and a microphone simultaneously, then you can’t do without a test recording. It is necessary to select the recording levels so that the volume of the sound recorded from the microphone and the sound recorded from the speakers is approximately the same.
Each track in a separate file
When recording from multiple sources, you can choose to save sound to one or more files. If you are going to edit the sound in the future, it is more convenient to save audio tracks in different files.
When recording audio to multiple files, "_1", "_2", etc. will be added to their names.
Convert to mp3
Recorded sound file(files) can be automatically converted to mp3 immediately after recording. In this form it takes up much less space. To do this, check the "Convert to mp3" checkbox. You can also convert manually using the "Convert" button. In this case, the switch “In one file”, “In different files". The only setting is the bitrate (to put it simply - sound quality).
If you record music, then the minimum is 128 Kb/sec

Cubase is good not only as an audio editor, but also as a MIDI editor. My experience with him comes down to the second case. Cakewalk Sonar
The interface of this program is simpler than Cubase. Many of my friends work in this program, recording, editing, sampling and mixing. I use Magix Samplitude. But if I did not yet have honed skills in working with any of the programs described, then I would choose for myself Cakewalk Sonar, because working with MIDI is implemented better there. The first three applications undoubtedly have good functionality and their own features, but this program still won my sympathy. Yes, InCall Recorder only records to MP3. Yes, here you cannot set a schedule for recording or set a timer to start. This program does not have desktop widgets. But they are not needed, since InCall Recorder has a button right in the call window. And now you don’t have to choose between automatic recording (a bunch of unnecessary files) and a long transition between different windows in manual mode.
This application is not particularly different and certainly not superior to the previous TOP participants. However, Smart Voice Recorder has one ace up its sleeve. Secondly, a good manual immediately gets you up to speed and you don’t need to understand almost anything.If you liked the “schedule recording” feature, then you need the Record Mic and Call application. If you are going to use recordings for some purposes where you need to squeeze the maximum quality out of your microphone, then the RecForge application is more suitable for you. The simplest and most pleasing to the eye application that you can use if you do not need to record calls and other unnecessary add-ons, but just need a regular high-quality voice recorder, is Easy Voice Recorder. Smart Voice Recorder has one interesting feature - “skip silence”. You can record boring lectures from teachers who like to speak slowly and think for a long time between sentences.
