Setting a melody is very simple:
- connect your smartphone to your computer
- upload the ringtone to the "Ringtones" folder (path Computer => Windows Phone => Phone => Ringtones)

How to put music to SMS in Nokia Lumia? Actually, this is the question that many users ask me. Therefore, I decided to write a complete instruction, which in turn will allow you and your friends to do it yourself.
First of all, I would like to emphasize that this instruction for installing a melody on SMS is compatible only with devices running latest version operating system, i.e Windows Phone 8.1... Therefore, if your smartphone runs on previous version- on 8-ke, in this case, this article does not suit you, since there is a slightly different way of setting the melody.
So let's get over it. The principle of setting a ringtone is quite simple, and it is similar to setting your own music to ringtone in WP-smartphones.
1) Initially, you will need to find an application called "Melody Creator" in the phone menu. In the event that this application does not exist (although this is unlikely), then you will need to download it from the application store and only then proceed to the second point.
2) Go to the application and click "select a song".
3) Find the song that we want to use as a melody on incoming messages.

5) The melody is created. The main thing is not to click set as a ringtone, since you are going to install it on SMS.
6) Now go back to the settings and find the item "notifications + actions".

Owners of phones with built-in Windows Phone OS know how to put music on a call ("Nokia Lumiya" - the lineup which we will discuss today) is not easy. What is the reason, why is it so difficult to set your favorite melody to a ringtone, and why are such restrictions imposed by smartphone manufacturers? Only they probably know the answers to these questions. But one should not be upset. He who seeks, as you know, will always achieve his goal. The main thing is not to be nervous, calmly deal with all the intricacies of the matter and come out victorious from the current situation.
Let's try to figure out what is here and how. On "Lumiya" you can put music on a call using the already built-in ringtones. Quite a lot of them are provided by Microsoft. And the manufacturers of phones under the brand name "Nokia Lumiya" flood smartphones with a sufficient number of melodies. But it is much more pleasant to listen to your favorite ringtone and thereby emphasize your taste, style, originality and individuality. So, let's get started.
What is important to know about installing ringtones?
Not all models with the name "Nokia Lumiya" are the same. They have different Windows versions Phone OS. And it can play an important role when setting a melody as a ringtone. In order for the future smartphone ringtone to be loaded onto the phone, you need to cut it. If you remember, it should be no longer than 39 seconds. Here is another way to put music on the call on Lumiya. The official website says that there are no restrictions on the duration of the melody for a call, but practice shows otherwise. "Melody Maker", or Saving Nerves
If your smartphone has a version of the operating Windows systems Phone 8 and higher, the simplest answer to the question of how to put music on the call ("Lumiya 520" or another close model can get more individuality in this way) is to use special program... If there is no such program in the smartphone, it is easy to find it on the manufacturer's website and download it to the phone. In order to set a melody as a ringtone on a smartphone, you need to do the following operations.
- Go to the menu and find this program.
- Find the "Melody Creator" section.
- Then you need to find the section "Choose a song". This menu will open a list of all the songs that are located on this phone model: melodies on the device itself and songs that are present on the flash drive.
- Next, you should select the option you want from the list provided by simply clicking on its name.
- After that, a section will open in which you can cut the desired passage. The rule of 39 seconds has not been canceled, however, in this version of the program you can select a segment of the composition 40 seconds long.
